AMAD’s Underwater Blast Sensor Patent Granted

Updated: Nov 22, 2023

We are pleased to share that Advanced Materials and Devices, Inc. (AMAD) has been granted a patent for the OmniBlast™ Water, our innovative underwater blast sensor. This achievement underscores our commitment to advancing underwater blast measurement and safety.

The OmniBlast™ Water is the first wearable underwater blast sensor of its kind, designed to capture underwater blast events from all directions with high fidelity. This compact device, weighing less than 2 ounces and measuring less than 2 cubic inches, brings laboratory-grade accuracy to field applications.

Key Features

  • Compact Design: The sensor’s small size ensures portability without sacrificing accuracy.

  • High-Fidelity Measurement: With a pressure range of 0.5 psi to 1,000 psi and up to 1Mhz sampling rate, the OmniBlast™ Water provides precise data.

  • Durability: Waterproof up to 300 feet and ruggedly built, the sensor is designed for challenging environments.

  • Efficiency: A rechargeable battery, dual pressure ranges, and the capacity to record over 5,000 blast events make this sensor a reliable tool for extended use.

The granting of Patent #: 11,668,614 in 2023 is a significant milestone for AMAD, solidifying our role as innovators in the field of blast measurement technology.

With the OmniBlast™ Water, AMAD continues to contribute to the field of underwater blast safety and measurement. This patented technology reflects our dedication to innovation in blast measurement technologies.
